Muchelney Pottery was set up in 1965 by John Leach, eldest grandson of Bernard Leach. He designed, what has become, an iconic range of stoneware pots based on the simple strength of English country pottery.
After John died in August 2021, Mark Melbourne became the sole potter at Muchelney Pottery. John’s eldest son Ben Leach took over the running of the business continuing in the ethos of John’s designs and working practices, carrying on the rich pottery tradition he created in Muchelney
