Kevin Wright works mainly in the medium of printmaking. He creates limited-edition fine art prints using the techniques of etching and aquatint. In this technique, he uses acids to bite his drawings into copper plates from which his prints are pulled. His work reflects his interest in Romanticism and its relation to Nature. The moors, rivers and coastline of the West Country inspire his work. He also focuses on places in cities such as London and Venice, seeking to capture the moments when the blur of restless activity evaporates and stillness descends.
