Exquisite hand drawn copper plate etching of an an Italian street scene, on heavyweight cotton paper. Edition no. 12/75.
Via San Gregorio Armeno is the street in the San Lorenzo district of old Naples where religious objects and Christmas-related religious items are permanently on sale. The narrow crowded street, full of shops selling ‘sacred objects’ is overarched by the tower belonging to the church and old monastery of San Gregorio Armeno. It is called by the Neapolitans ‘Via dei Presepi Napolitani’ meaning the street of the Neapolitan nativity scenes.
Kevin Wright works mainly in the medium of printmaking. He creates limited-edition fine art prints using the techniques of etching and aquatint.
