Little Twit, Owl Storybox sculpture is set inside an antique 1900's travelling inkwell, which is metal covered with distressed leather. Sprouting from the top is a little copper leaf - c. 1910, originally a French jewellery finding.
When open, the inside of the lid contains a sweet snippet of wool embroidered miniature leaves, with the word "twit" sculpted from wire there too. The same embroidered leaves are in the inkwell lid, which flips down, to reveal little twit himself. He is a rare 1930's painted lead owl toy figure. He peers out from his little inkwell hole, which is lined in vintage green velvet ribbon.
The whole sculpture stands on two tiny black wooden legs, which were originally antique shirt collar studs.
