Walter the Walrus has decided to take a lovely relaxing bath. As you can see in the photos, he is clinging tightly to his emotional support fishie Steve. Walter is pondering life in his bath, and wasn't really expecting you to start ogling at him, so he is a little coy, and very glad he overdid it slightly with the bubbles, to avoid any embarrassing moments!

Walter's main body is made from an early 1900's mechanics funnel, whose spout was removed. His head is a bowl from a chemist's travelling weighing scales, c. 1920's, and his face is a door bolt keeper c.1950's. His little whiskers are tiny pieces of metal wire, and his tusks are antique sewing bodkins made from bone, from the late 1800's. His flippers are made from a 1920's German pastry tin, and the leather on his limbs came from the cover of an antique photo album dated 1832.

Steve, the emotional support fishie, is a mid 1800's carved bone gaming counter. Walter sits in his brass bath - which is the pan from a Victorian pair of cast iron scales. The feet on the bath are 1950's icing nozzles. The taps are reworked miniature brass pipes, topped with vintage lead game jacks from the 1950's/60's. The bubbles in the bath are thousands of fake pearls from vintage necklaces from the early to mid 1900's. The whole sculpture sits on an antique black wooden base circa late 1800's, which previously housed a glass dome on top of it, and an antique clock. To the front of this, an antique brass plaque frames the words "Walter the Walrus and his emotional support fishie". The words are typewritten via a Corona Special Typewriter from 1910, on to vintage glassine paper -originally from little bags used in shops in the mid 1900's.

All the items used are reworked antique and vintage items, and, as such, may show an element of time-wear commensurate with their age.
