Dartmoor Dreams
Dartmoor Dreams
Carol Ballenger
“Dartmoor Dreams represents the timeless aspects of Dartmoor…”
The longstanding collaboration of photographer Carol Ballenger and poet John Powls is celebrated in this new, updated edition of Dartmoor Dreams based on its original publication over twenty five years ago.
Here photographer and poet respond to Dartmoor’s ancient woodlands, granite, weather, moonlight, standing stones, rivers, snow and ice. Being a true collaboration it is also about their responses to each other’s work.
Over the years they have worked on various projects including Japanese gardens, urban landscapes and the iconic Route 66. However it is with particular pleasure they return to Dartmoor Dreams.
Their work has been exhibited widely and been presented on radio, TV and on the internet. With their Arts Live colleagues they perform they regularly including for the St Ives, Edinburgh Fringe and Ways With Words festivals.
