Oxidised silver & pearl echinoderm studs
Oxidised silver & pearl echinoderm studs
Ann Bruford
Hand cut, pierced and textured these earrings in dark patinated sterling silver with a freshwater pearl nestling on antiqued 23.75ct gold leaf in the hollow centre. Inspired by the shells washed up on the Jurassic Coast here in Devon, the hand applied texture is derived from the Echinoderm collection at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter.
The studs are hand polished to a soft, water worn finish and, with a hand applied surface pattern, no two pairs in this series are the same.
A sterling silver ear pin and butterfly catch completes the design.
Approx diameter: 2cm
